- A mortgagee needs to pay off a divorce settlement, can get a loan from the bank due to CRA debt. Ownes a home free and clear of 650k. Client needs $100k to payoff the settlement and 80k to pay off CRA. Investor Lends $180k at the lawyer’s office, which the lawyer pays off the settlement and CRA. Monthly payment ($2250/month) for 3 years = $81,000
